Trial Terms
Last updated: 29 April 2026
These terms apply to anyone accepted into Tokani's design partner program or granted trial access to the Tokani platform ("Service"). By submitting the application form you agree to the terms below.
1. What you get
Design partners receive full access to the Tokani platform at no cost for a 14-day trial. You get a direct line to the founding team and meaningful input on the product roadmap.
2. What we ask in return
In exchange for free access, design partners commit to all three of the following. These are not optional — they are the core exchange of the program:
- Ongoing feedback. You will provide regular feedback on your experience — at minimum, structured input at the start, midpoint, and end of the trial, plus ad-hoc reports of bugs, friction, or wins as they happen.
- Dashboard check-ins. You will sign in to the dashboard regularly enough that we can verify the trial is producing real signal. Prolonged inactivity may result in access being pulled (see Section 6).
- A published case study. At the end of the trial we will co-author a short case study covering your use case, setup, and results. It will be published on tokani.ai and may be referenced in Tokani marketing materials. You will review and approve the final draft before publication — we will not publish without your sign-off — and you may request that specific numbers or details be anonymized. The case study itself is required.
3. Trial period and conversion
The trial runs for 14 days from the date your credentials are issued. At the end of the trial you may convert to a paid plan at the then-current pricing, or walk away — no penalty either way. If you convert, the case study obligation from Section 2 still applies.
4. Service level & support
No SLA. The Service is provided on a best-effort basis during the trial. We make no uptime, latency, or performance guarantees. Support during the trial is best-effort via email and shared Slack/Linear channels — typically same-day during business hours, but no commitment.
5. Your data
Your prompt and response content is processed in-memory and never written to durable storage. We retain only operational metadata (request volume, latency, cost, savings). Full details are in our privacy policy and privacy architecture page.
6. Inactivity & access
If you do not sign in or send traffic for an extended period — typically 7 consecutive days during the trial — we may pause or revoke access without notice. The trial slots are limited and we'd rather give them to teams who'll actually use them. If your inactivity is planned (vacation, launch freeze, etc.) just email us in advance.
7. Confidentiality
During the trial you may see features, roadmap items, or pricing that are not yet public. Please keep those confidential. We will keep your usage data and any proprietary information you share confidential as well, except as aggregated in the approved case study.
8. No warranty / limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is" during the trial. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us (which, for free-tier partners, is zero).
9. Termination
Either party can end the trial at any time with written notice (email is fine). If you end the trial early, the case study obligation from Section 2 applies to the extent that there are publishable results. If there are not, both parties walk away with no further obligation.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States.
